The jardin du Lautaret an institution dating back more than a century, created byUniversité Grenoble Alpes the Lautaret Pass. It welcomes more than 20,000 visitors every summer from early June to early September, who can explore a garden covering nearly two hectares, featuring more than 80 flower beds and rockeries. At the reception area, visitors can purchase various items (books, postcards, seeds, etc.). Traditionally, a sale of perennials, mainly alpine but not exclusively, is held at the entrance to the garden. The retirement of the previous salesperson has prompted us to launch a new call for tenders.

This call for tenders consists of the provision of a self-service plant consignment stand at the entrance to the garden, which must meet the following specifications:

  1. The producer brings his plants (vegetables) to sell at the Lautaret garden, at the Lautaret pass in Villar-d'Arène (05480), as soon as it opens (first weekend in June).

  2. He undertakes to restock his stand regularly every week and to replace plants that are not suitable for sale (those that have finished their cycle, are past their prime, diseased, damaged, etc.).

  3. The producer provides the stand necessary for the sale and presentation of plants. This stand must be easily movable so that it can be set up/stored at the beginning and end of the season (or when necessary for maintenance).

  4. The addition of advertising and/or commercial signage will be done in agreement with the Lautaret garden team.

  5. For its part, The jardin du Lautaret sell plants, water them, and provide visitors with gardening advice seven days a week.

  6. In return, The jardin du Lautaret 20% of the revenue (based on the price excluding tax). Producers are free to set the selling price of their produce.

  7. The jardin du Lautaret the proceeds and repurchases the plants sold to the producer each month, minus the producer's share.

  8. At the end of the season, the producer collects his stand and any unsold items.

  9. The agreement is concluded for a renewable period of five years. It may be revoked if the producer fails to comply with the specifications.

  10. The choice of supplier will be based largely on the diversity and quality of the plants offered, their degree of "alpine" or "rock garden" characteristics, and the price-quality ratio.

  11. This call for tenders will close on October 31, 2024.
