A play by Jérôme Cochet and François Hien, performed by the actors of the Le chant des pistes theater company. In the aftermath of a massive fire that ravaged the Ondes Forest, at the foot of the imaginary Hautes Aigues mountain range, life in the small village of Chantrionde is turned upside down...

As the drought persists and takes its toll on rural life and agricultural activities, an investigation seeks to shed light on the mysterious cause of the fire, which broke out deep in the mountains. Meanwhile, the residents are preparing for the summers ahead. Sacha Corvol, a young carpenter deeply affected by the fire, joins the Chantrionde fire station. We follow her integration into the volunteer fire department, while delving into the challenges facing mid-mountain regions alongside a mayor and a forester trying to restore their forest, a forager who saw his land go up in smoke, and a young farmer taking over the family farm… Feu la Forêt tells the story of this village hanging by a thread from one summer to the next, where everyone tries in their own way—alone or together—to rebuild life from the ashes and to care for it.
