Since the late18th century, Lautaret has been renowned for its diverse ecosystems. Its strategic location in the heart of the Alps gives rise to remarkable natural diversity. A quarter of France’s flora can be found here. During this first summer lecture, learn about the history of botany and the natural riches of the surrounding area, and ask all the questions you’ve been dying to ask! Rolland Douzet

Rolland Douzet is the assistant director of the Lautaret Garden. He has been working there for some thirty years. He also teaches plant biology, botany, biodiversity, and evolutionary ecology atUniversité Grenoble Alpes. Every summer at Lautaret, he organizes training courses in botany and alpine plant ecology.
