August 25–30, 2024. A doctoral training program in the mountains, at the crossroads of the humanities and social sciences and Earth and environmental sciences. Observe, experiment, and exchange ideas with scientists and local partners. This training program is equivalent to 20 credit hours.
The LabEx ITTEM and OSUG, in partnership with The jardin du Lautaret, are organizing for the fourth consecutive year the Mountain Research School which presents itself as a doctoral training school for interdisciplinary studies in the humanities and social sciences and earth and environmental sciences, within mountain regions.

This doctoral summer school, based in Lautaret, will take place from Sunday, August 25 to Friday, August 30, 2024.

On the agenda: five days of immersion in the Grave region in the heart of the Écrins massif, field trips, and meetings with researchers and local stakeholders. The subjects of scientific research in our disciplines are attracting increasing interest from various socio-economic stakeholders.

The objective of this year's MRS is to teach participants how to deal with controversial issues they may encounter in their research. This issue will be addressed using the concrete example of the Girose glacier.
