  • Botanical Garden of France and French-speaking Countries
    Only 30 gardens are currently accredited. Each of these gardens has signed a charter of commitments aimed at ensuring the relevance of scientific research, conservation, education, and awareness-raising activities for the dissemination of knowledge and data.

    The "Remarkable Garden" label, awarded by the Ministry of Culture, distinguishes gardens and parks that are of cultural, aesthetic, historical, or botanical interest. This label must be renewed every five years under the supervision of the DRAC PACA.

    The CCVS brings together passionate amateurs, professionals, and scientists who wish to preserve France's rich botanical, cultural, and horticultural heritage, notably through the creation of specialized collections. The jardin du Lautaret a collection of alpine plants from around the world.

    The jardin du Lautaret classified as a natural monument and site of artistic, historical, legendary, and picturesque interest since 1934. This classification is generally reserved for the most remarkable sites of predominantly natural character, whose landscape must be rigorously preserved.

    Under the supervision ofUniversité Grenoble Alpes the CNRS, The jardin du Lautaret a member of the Grenoble Observatory of Universe Sciences (OSUG) federation and works in particular with many laboratories that are members of this federation. The Jardin is also part of local, national, and international research networks.
