The greenhouses enable the Lautaret garden to prepare its seedlings in spring, but they are mainly dedicated to research and experimentation in plant biology. This scientific facility comprises four climate chambers: two "classic" greenhouses and two "alpine" greenhouses designed to recreate high-mountain climatic conditions. The northern part of the building houses the two greenhouses that simulate alpine environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, light). The other two Aralab® climate chambers allow crops to be grown in even more precise conditions. The southern part of the building consists of two temperate compartments. The outdoor areas of the greenhouse are dedicated to experimental ecology research.
