The "Remarkable Garden" label was awarded to jardin du Lautaret May 2005 by the Ministry of Culture and Communication (Directorate of Architecture and Heritage) and renewed in 2015.
This label applies to parks and gardens that are particularly noteworthy for their historical, architectural, and botanical interest, and above all for their maintenance. It complements the labels "Botanical Gardens of France and French-speaking Countries" (since 1998) and "Conservatory of Specialized Plant Collections."
