This summer 2021, come and (re)discover the garden!

If there's one place we recommend you visit this summer, it's The jardin du Lautaret At an altitude of 2,100 m, in the open air, you can enjoy the breathtaking scenery and admire the collections of alpine plants from mountains all over the world. How many summer visitors, tourists, and travelers cross the Col du Lautaret without knowing about this little century-old gem? This 2021 season, with local tourism being the order of the day, is the perfect opportunity to rediscover this treasure! You have to earn it: at the pass, at the end of the large parking lot, a few turns... and finally you discover this magical place, a condensed version of all the mountains of the world. From America to Asia, Europe to Africa, South America... to the poles. More than 2,000 species of plants that thrive in the harsh alpine climate can be discovered in a maze of reconstructed environments that change year after year.

So what's changing this summer, given the health situation? Well, we've decided to postpone our traditional "garden talks" (Mondays in July and August at 5pm) until 2022. But otherwise, you can still enjoy our free guided tours three times a day (masks must be worn).

Far removed from the traditional botanical garden as we imagine it, you are invited on a real trip around the world in 80 minutes... without the risk of quarantine.

And since The jardin du Lautaret also a place of research, the new discovery and science area will allow you to learn more. Come and discover it before its official opening!
